EARLY BIRD
Oh, if you're a bird, be an early bird
And catch the worm for your breakfast plate.
If you're a bird, be an early early bird--
But if you're the worm, sleep late.
We spent the Saturday preceding Easter at Lynne and Larry's with Jeff and Sally. The kids hunted Easter Eggs and we had dinner. It was a wonderful day. The boys were so sweet with their little cousin Maddie, putting all of the pink and girlie eggs into her basket and leading her around Mamaw and Papaw's front yard.
On Sunday, we went to my Aunt Joyce and Larry Coffman's home in Idabel, OK. It was a mini family reunion with my cousin Dyllan, my aunt Olive and her husband Sherell and their granddaughter Olivia as well as my dad and Barbara, and my Aunt Dorothy and her husband Giles attending. This was not long after my dad's triple bypass and he was still in recovery but doing much better. Often in the Youngblood family, it takes things like illness to bring everyone together. We played moon and talked and ate so much wonderful food. My aunt Joyce is an excellent cook and prefers to do it all herself. Although we missed church this year is was still a wonderful celebration of family and faith.
