Kindergarten

Hudson started Kindergarten this year.  It was hard on all of us at first, but definitely hardest on Hudson.  The 5-day a week schedule was an adjustment, being in a larger school, having to 'work' etc.  He cried every morning the first 2 weeks of school, asked us to 'take the long way to school', and said that no one played with him.  After he got used to it and made friends with the kids in his class, found  Josiah and Adelyn on the playground, and got used to having to 'work' he started to like school.  He still says the worst part of his day is 'working' and the best part is recess but he has matured so much, learned so much. He is beginning to read.  I brought home a Dr. Seuss book 'Hop on Pop' from the library and with a little help he was able to read the whole book.  I really love his teacher Mrs. Blackstead. She is so great with Hudson.  He has been on his best behavior and gets in the treasure box every Friday.  He has all A's his first 9 weeks.  He went on his first field trip to Family Farm in Glen Rose.  I was lucky enough to be able to go with his class.  It was rainy and a little messy, but the kids had a blast.

8/26/13: Today I'm trying to get Hudson ready for school and I pull the covers off of him.  He says 'no, not for sale!' and rolls over to go back to sleep.   He said he had good, bad, and worse news from school.  Good new was he got to play outside.  Bad news was they had to work and there was actually no worse news.  He said he wished he were a slug:)
He thinks that the copywrite notice before movies said 'Patience my love.'
